Head Coach and Assistant Coach

Apex Freestyle Club was founded around 1989 and is recognized as one of the best freestyle clubs in Canada .
In 2007 the Jumps & Bumps program received a Club Development Award by CFSA for meeting and exceeding the criteria for growth and development of athletes, coaches and officials. In 2008 competitive athletes surpassed targets and goals and brought home a record number of medals to recognize their achievements. Apex Freestyle Club ensures
athletes have fun while performing to their ability.

Freestyle Club Development Awards Announced

Vancouver, BC, October 17, 2007 – Ten Freestyle Ski Clubs from across the country received Club Development awards from the Canadian Freestyle Ski Association today.

Lori Barlow, Athlete Development Manager for the CFSA, said: “All these clubs met or exceeded our criteria for growth and development of athletes, coaches and officials in the past year. It’s great to see such a cross-section of winners – big and small, reasonably new and well developed, and from across the country. These are great signs of strong grassroots programs for freestyle.”

Criteria used to judge the clubs’ performance included:

Adherence to Long term athlete development guiding principles
Sustainability of Club programs
RBC Jumps and Bumps program is fully integrated
Professionalism
Gender equity and access for girls
Gender equity coaching teams
NCCP certified coaches
Increase in participation and growth of club
Organizational structures
Quality of program and training
Outstanding mentorship and leadership within club structure

Prix décernés pour le développement des clubs de ski acrobatique

Vancouver, C.-B., le 17 octobre 2007 – L’Association canadienne de ski acrobatique a aujourd’hui décerné des prix à dix clubs de ski acrobatique de partout au pays.

« Tous ces clubs ont répondu aux critères de croissance et de développement des athlètes, des entraîneurs et des officiels au cours de la dernière année, ou les ont dépassés », d’indiquer Lori Barlow, Directrice du développement des athlètes de l’ACSA. « C’est très stimulant de voir une si grande diversité de lauréats, grands et petits clubs, certains nouveaux, d’autres bien développés, et de partout au pays. Cela est indicateur de l’excellence des programmes de niveau d’entrée en ski acrobatique. »

Les critères considérés pour évaluer la performance des clubs incluent :

Adhésion aux principes directeurs du Développement à long terme de l’athlète
Viabilité des programmes du club
Intégration complète du programme Sauts et mini-bosses RBC
Professionnalisme
Équité entre les sexes et accessibilité pour les filles
Équité entre les sexes au sein de l’équipe d’entraîneurs
Entraîneurs certifiés du PNCE
Augmentation de la participation au club et de sa croissance
Structures organisationnelles
Qualité du programme et de l’entraînement
Solidité du mentorat et du leadership au sein de la structure du club
